The Roosevelt County Library Board held its regular meeting July 16 at the Froid branch. According to the quarterly county distribution in Montana at the end of the quarter ending on Dec. 31, 2023, Roosevelt County received total distributions of $2,211,418 from the state. It’s getting close to fair time in eastern Montana. Organizers with the Roosevelt County Fair have announced a car and tractor show for Thursday, Aug. 8. The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Categories include vintage cars, people’s choice and antique tractors. All makes and models are welcome and admission is free. Culbertson School students will have the opportunity to take family and consumer science classes for the first time in many years starting this fall. Culbertson Superintendent of Schools Nicole Simonsen is excited about the addition. She doesn’t believe such classes have been available in Culbertson for at least 20 years. Shelby Manning will serve as the family and consumer science instructor.
