Speaker Heiser Unpacks Digital Addiction
Montana State University senior lecturer Shawna Heiser spoke to area schoolchildren, teachers and parents during two assemblies in Culbertson on Monday, Sept. 29.
She addressed students about digital addiction and the detrimental impacts of screens and electronic media on brain development.

Culbertson’s senior Jade Lone Bear’s enjoyment of running has benefited the school’s athletic programs during the past few years.
Lone Bear has been a member of the Culbertson/Bainville cross country program for three years and is one of the leaders on this year’s squad.
“I like the adrenaline I get when I pass a person in the race,” Lone Bear said.

Roosevelt County Commissioner Gordon Oelkers has been elected president of the Montana Association of Counties during the organization’s 116th annual conference.

Honey Information
During Froid’s plant science class, Roosevelt County Extension agent Wendy Becker came to teach the students about honey extraction. Students got to learn about the process and then got to extract honey themselves and take home a bottle of fresh honey.
