Piocos Files Suit Against County


Former Roosevelt County employee Frank Piocos filed a lawsuit against the county last week. The action seeks declaratory relief and claims the county didn’t have authority to remove him from office. District judge Katherine Bidegaray ruled in February that Piocos wasn’t an eligible candidate after Wolf Point resident Darla Downs claimed that Piocos wasn’t qualified to assume the office

Culbertson High School senior Chase Semm has made a nice transition to living in eastern Montana. Semm moved to Culbertson from Minot, N,D., about a year ago and now enjoys being a member of the senior class. “I like it more than Minot,” Semm said. “It’s easy to live here.” During his free time, Semm likes helping out at home and bonding with his two younger brothers.
