Sheriff Upset With Budget Challenges


Roosevelt County Sheriff Jason Frederick is concerned. Frederick says that due to budget cuts, the sheriff office will have two less deputies. “We will no longer be able to run 24-hour coverage,” Frederick said. The railroad crossing project on County Road 1013 was completed with safety arms and lights last week. “It has been a long process on a very needed project,” Roosevelt County Commissioner Gordon Oelkers said.
