The Town of Culbertson held their regular meeting Monday, Sept. 13. A resolution was passed canceling the November election of local municipal officers. All candidates ran unopposed. Public comment was offered on non-agenda items, including the topic of enforcement of town ordinances. Currently, the town has a contract for enforcement with the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office. The Town of Bainville held their regular meeting Monday, Sept. 13, with the full council was present. Following the approval of the agenda and meeting minutes for August, clerk Nikki Rogers announced that a rabies clinic was held Aug. 23. The event was funded by the Trenton Indian Service Area. The Culbertson School board agreed to the idea of conducting an alternative to the Montana Science Olympiad competition. Because the Montana Science Olympiad was moved to April 15, it now falls around Culbertson’s spring break. Instructor Paula Schledewitz proposed an alternative of having a local competition instead of participating in the state event. Trustees agreed and will take formal action
