Three Wolf Point tennis players qualified for the state tournament during divisional action in Glendive last weekend. The doubles team of Kaleah Miller-Toves and Kaylee Johnson placed second at the tournament. They defeated teams from Poplar and Baker during the first day of the tournament to advance into the championship match. Mahala Moran, a senior, earned third place in singles to qualify

A basketball camp featuring Ro Wiggins is scheduled for June 4 at the Wolf Point High School gym. Poplar’s Landon Young and Wolf Point’s Gaige Bushman competed at the Class B state golf meet in Shelby last week. Young had an overall score of 182 for 47th place. His rounds were 94 and 88. Bushman placed 57th with a score of 194. His rounds were 98 and 96.

Freshman Jazmin Gorder of Poplar has been selected the Minot State University Women’s wrestler of the year for 2022-2023. Gorder also won honors for being the most technical and having the most turns this season. Gorder, competing in the 123-pound weight class, has the honor of having her name on both the first win at nationals for Minot State as well as the first win in the championship

Wolf Point’s Gaige Bushman and Poplar’s Landon Young each qualified for the Class B state golf tournament by placing in the top 15 at the divisional tournament held in Shelby on Tuesday, May 9. Young shot an 87 to earn ninth place. Bushman qualified by shooting a 93 to tie for 12th place at the meet. Glasgow’s Riley Smith was the meet’s medalist with a 77. Glasgow’s Keigan Ingram
