Athletes Place During Meet In Glasgow


Track athletes from Wolf Point and Poplar each enjoyed success at a 12-team track meet held in Glasgow on Monday, April 7. The Wolves took fifth in the girls’ team standings with 47 points and eighth in the boys’ standings with 24 points. Sean Hamilton, a junior, led Wolf Point’s boys with a first in the javelin (149-2), a second in the discus (128-11) and a third in the shot put (41-7).

Lions, Bearcubs Score At Glasgow Track Meet


The Lustre Lions finished with 69 points in the boys’ division to place second at a 12team track meet in Glasgow on Monday, April 7. Glasgow’s boys topped the standings with 158 points. Malta took third for 65 points. Johnslee Pierre was a double winner for the Lions. Pierre finished first in the 200 at 23.87 seconds and first in the 400 at 54.26 seconds.
