John B. Nesbitt, 66, of Wolf Point died June 8, 2023. He was a one-of-a-kind man who touched more people’s lives wherever he went. He was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He valued his friends and family and you never had to wonder where you stood with him. He did many things in his life. He worked for the railroad, was a lineman for Norval, taught at the Poplar college at the lineman school and so much more. He loved working in his shop, building his Willie’s Jeeps, riding his bike or helping others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. If he didn’t know how to do something, he would figure it out. He often would say, “He was a jack of all traits, but a master of none.” He helped get the Prairie Riders bike group going and stayed active in it and was part of the Glasgow Car Club and the 100 Club. He stayed in charge of everything, including his funeral, and kept his great personality until the end. He is survived by his daughters and many grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, sisters and his wife, Nancy. A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Glasgow Elks, followed by one last turn around town.

Timilyn Vonnette Russell, 59, died May 18, 2023, in Puyallup, Wash. She was born on Oct. 12, 1963, to Lucille “Ella” Russell and Stanley “Allen” Lester in Poplar, where she also grew up. In her younger years, she had many small odd jobs. In her early 20s, she met Marvin BullChief Sr. From this union, she had five children, Renae, Marvin III “Jason”, Kyleen, Bradley and Quentin BullChief. They resided in both Frazer and Wolf Point for a number of years together, but later parted ways. Then in the early ‘90s, she moved to Okanogan, Wash., with her aunt Jana Cloke-Moore and later moved to Omak, Wash. She met her companion, Bill Marr. She enjoyed listening to

Reginald Dale Scott, 63, died June 3, 2023, in Poplar. He was the oldest of 10 children. He went to school in Poplar and Brockton, then later graduated from Brockton in 1979 as the salutatorian. He also graduated from the Fort Peck Community College with a degree in general studies. He had many jobs in his life including working at A& S Industries, West Electronics and Poplar schools. But the job he loved the most was being a dad and grandpa. He met Pauline Red Star and was blessed with six daughters, Tyra, Sheila, Marian, April, Nancy and Tricia. Albert Jay Kirn III “Boy”, 29, died June 5, 2023, in Poplar. He was born Feb. 5, 1994, Connie Bird and Albert Kirn Jr. He was raised in Poplar, the only boy born after four girls. He attended all his school years in Brockton. He enjoyed everything in his life. He loved animals and spending time with nieces and nephews. Fishing, working on cars and bikes, helping others were some of his hobbies. His dad taught him how to work on cars. He also worked on the farm for Grandpa Blue and Auntie Jo.

Clarice Kay Big Leggins, 67, of Frazer died May 29, 2023, at Billings Clinic in Billings. She was born to Isaac Follette and Eva Firemoon Follette on June 11, 1955, in Wolf Point. She attended school in Frazer and later in Othello, Wash., where she was on the LDS Morman Placement Program. She later moved to Helena to further her education and received her GED. She worked in activities at the Helena Indian Alliance — a job she enjoyed. She met DeWayne Big Leggins in 1978 and they married later. They moved back to Wolf Point in 2008. She loved traveling and seeing the countryside with DeWayne in 1995. She loved to go on evening drives and watching sunsets, loved animals, cats and dogs. She loved being home, playing boardgames, doing puzzles, watching TV and listening to music. She was known to all by her nickname “Bootie.” She always had you laughing when you would visit her. Jeanette Ann (Boysun) Ferch, 83, of Carrington, N.D. entered Gods Kingdom on May 12, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Jeanette was born on March 8, 1940, in Wolf Point, Mont. She grew up in Vida, Mont., and spent two years in Washington state with her aunt Katie until she became homesick and called her dad to bring her home. Jeanette raised six wonderful children on her own, while going to school full-time to become a nurse. She absolutely loved her profession. After she retired, she made her home in Carrington, N.D., where she lived until the Lord called her home. Anyone that met Jeanette was offered a wonderful meal and a piece of her delicious bundt cake with a fresh cup of coffee. She loved nothing more than to make her family and friends a meal to be shared around the table. Jeanette also enjoyed beading beautiful Christmas ornaments for the people she loved and adored, tending to her flowers, watching old movies and listening to her favorite songs by Elvis. On the weekends, you could find her in the secondhand stores trying to find that diamond in the rough. Jeanette was a devoted, loving mother, grandmother (Gigi) and wife. Martha Mary Lambert, age 87, died May 23, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point. She was born in Harlem on Nov. 17, 1935, to James and Mary Shawl. She later moved to Wolf Point and married James Edward Lambert Sr. on March 15, 1956. The loving couple would then start having a large family. James died Nov. 19, 1987. She was also very strong and a devoted Christian. She loved doing beadwork and attending pow-wows. She also loved watching thunderstorms in the summer while doting on her grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her. She was always positive and always laughing or making jokes. Gary Edmond Dahl, 82, died May 21, 2023. He was born March 4, 1941, in Wolf Point to Henry F. and Naomi (Potter) Dahl, joining brothers Kenneth and John and sister Beverly. He attended school in Wolf Point, where he was an honor student, graduating with the class of 1959. He learned to fly while in high school, starting his pilot’s license at the age of 16. This became a lifelong love of his and he was able to pilot for 60 years. After high school, he attended Montana State University in Bozeman. There, he earned a bachelor of

Lawrence “Larry” A. Fredrickson, 76, of Middleton, Idaho, died Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born in Havre to James and Alvina Fredrickson and grew up in Wolf Point. He graduated from Wolf Point High School and studied bookkeeping/accounting at Kinman Business University in Spokane, Wash. Shortly after, he met MaryEtta and they had 56 years together. They moved to Middleton in 1977 where they raised their four daughters. He enjoyed volunteering with the Middleton Fire Department in the early years and loved his community. He also enjoyed woodworking, camping, hunting, fishing, dancing and playing musical instruments. He was a long-term member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the choir, participating in church committees over the years, and cherished his church family.
