He was born May 17, 1955, to Robert and Pauline Jasper in Glasgow. He grew up hunting, playing football and working with his dad and farmers around Culbertson. After graduating from Culbertson High School in 1973, he worked at the safflower- crushing plant. He was always known as an incredibly hard and smart worker and quickly took on more and more responsibility at the plant. His last years at the plant, he served as superintendent. After leaving the safflower plant, he also taught high school shop and worked in the oilfields driving trucks and managing a salt water disposal site.

In 1985, he met Darlene and they enjoyed 37 years of marriage and raised four children, Jennifer, Melanie, Rako and Travis. He loved his hometown of Culbertson and spent time hunting, going early mornings to coffee with his coffee crew, volunteering at the fire department and ambulance crews and helping neighbors.

In 2021, he retired and relocated to Maricopa to spend time with his family and especially cherished time with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, fishing, walking several miles a day, tinkering in his shop, organizing his gun room, back-roading in his RZR and admiring the Arizona sunrises and sunsets and vacationing to Mexican beaches.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Jasper; children, Jennifer Cameron, Melanie Rapp, Rako Zech and Travis Zech; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Pauline Jasper; and siblings, Michael Jasper, Diane Larsen and Robert Jasper.
