Clairann Garfield


Clairann Garfield, 72, of Wolf Point died Feb. 28, 2022. She was the oldest of 14 children. She spent her childhood years in Scobey. In 1969, she married Vance Garfield. They spent 53 years together. From this union, they had a daughter, Melanie, nd two grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held May 5 in Wolf Point at the Garfield residence on Fairweather Street.

Lance Wade Adams Sr., Eagle Spirit (Wanbdi Wanahgi Hoksina), 34, of Poplar died Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at the Poplar Hospital. He was born on April 22, 1987, in Williston, N.D., to Edith Adams. He attended and graduated from Brockton School. During school, he enjoyed playing basketball, golf and football. After graduating from high school, he attended college at the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Ariz. He also attended Fort Peck Community College in Poplar. While attending FPCC, he played basketball for the Buffalo Chasers. In between attending college, he worked at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Mescalero, N.M.; Fort Peck Tribes Buffalo Ranch; Fort Peck Tribes IRR; Tribal Express; MADeAtly Road Construction; SK Road Construction; and Sidney Sugars in Sidney. He enjoyed cruising around, listening to music, playing Scrabble, whist, 10,000 Aces, dominoes and PS4 and mostly he enjoyed laughing and joking with

Jacie Jo Campbell, four, died Feb. 27, 2022. She was born Jan. 5, 2018, the fifth of six siblings. She had so much life and love yet still to give. She also took on a very special position of being “daddy’s girl.” She loved watching cartoons and playing with her Barbies. She was a very smart girl, often getting called out on it by friends and family. She joined her big brother, Jathyn, in preschool. Together, they were inseparable, always playing, learning and just having fun no matter what. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Sarina Campbell; siblings, Chiilaabee Harlan, Jathyn Thomas, Rylan Cruz, Richard III and Hamyanie Campbell; grandparents, Harvey Sr. (Monica) Campbell; and great-grandparents,

Lee Packineau

Lee Packineau


Lee Willis Packineau, 80, of Wolf Point died Feb. 26, 2022. He was born in Poplar on Jan. 14, 1942, to Anna Follet and Richard Wilson Packineau. His Nakota name is White Feather “Wiyaga Ska.” He grew up on both the Fort Peck Reservation with his grandmother Lena Bear Skin and on the Fort Berthold Reservation with his grandmother Corn Stalk. Upon his high school graduation, he volunteered for the United States Air Force and a Vietnam War combat veteran. Returning home from Vietnam, he traveled everywhere by freight, hitching and every means available to him and buddies making memories and having fun. He fought and rode bulls and was a guitar player with the Red Country band. He was a champion grass dancer known throughout Indian Country in his younger days. In his older years, he was champion of Triple Aces and well known at Lucky Lil’s and other casinos.

Patti “Cakes” Lynn Low-Dog, 64, died Feb. 24, 2022, in Billings. She was born Jan. 23, 1958, to Joseph LowDog Sr. and Yvonne Shields. She grew up in Wolf Point and attended schools in Washington and Wolf Point. She loved her family, playing Yahtzee, attending powwows, making frybread and listening to the radio. She is survived by her adopted daughter, Jory Royale; sisters, Carol, Julie and Kristen; brother, Joseph LowDog Jr.; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by sisters, Donna and Tamera; and brother, Jeffrey. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 3, at the

James Lambert


James Edward Lambert, 83, of Fort Peck died Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Billings. He was born June 9, 1938, to Edward and Grace Boger in Catasauqua, Pa. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He married Evelyn Billman on Nov. 9, 1961. The family moved from Pennsylvania in 1975 to make their home in Montana. He was an engineer for BNSF Railway and eventually retired in the 1990s. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Lambert of Fort Peck; sons, Rusty Lambert and Rod Lambert; daughter, Kimberly

Lynn Nordwick

Lynn Nordwick


Lynn Nordwick, 82, died March 4, 2022. She was born on May 24, 1939, in Orange County, Calif., to George and Doris McFarland. She attended school in California and graduated from the University of Phoenix where she met Ray Nordwick. They married in Wolf Point on Aug. 23, 1965 and moved to the farm north of Poplar. Ray died June 8, 1992. Later, she met Billy Tryan and was a companion with him until his death. Her wishes were to be cremated.
