A Poplar woman who provided false statements to federal law enforcement was sentenced last week to 9 months in prison to be followed by two years of supervised release, U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme said. The Fort Peck Tribal Law Enforcement reports that on Thursday, June 5, the body of a 16-year-old male was recovered from the Missouri River, near the rolloff site southeast of Poplar. Friends and family have identified the victim as Nick Diserly.
