The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 59 calls from June 16-23. The calls included the following: June 17 Deputies received a report from a resident regarding a stolen rifle. Deputies entered the gun as stolen in the national computer system. Deputies assisted Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice at the Poplar Hospital for a report from a female of a sexual assault.

Roosevelt County’s elected officials will see an increase of $2,600 to their salaries for the upcoming fiscal year, after a meeting of the county’s compensation board.
