The Poplar’s girls’ basketball team earned second place in the seventh- eighth grade division during the Rockettes Summer Shoot-out held in New Town, N.D. Poplar opened play by defeating the Lady Warriors of Standing Rock, S.D. Poplar then lost to the Lakeside team from New Town. Judge Denies State Hospital Request For Rutledge


The request to have defendant Richard Lamber Rutledge receive a mental examination at the state hospital was denied by District Judge David J. Cybulski on Wednesday, July 14. Rutledge is facing two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and two counts of incest.
