Lions Take Third At Divisional


The Lustre Christian High School boys’ basketball team placed third at the divisional basketball tournament, earning their right to challenge Fairview’s second place on Friday. The teams were never more than four points apart and Lustre lost heartbreakingly by one (39-38). They played four games in three days against Bainville (overtime win 71-57), Scobey (winning 43-37) and again Bainville

A short jumper by Elijah Lenihan put the Lions ahead by a 56-48 margin with under two minutes left in regulation. Bainville kept fighting back as a pair of three-pointers

Lustre Loses To Red Hawks


Froid/Lake’s boys’ basketball team advanced into the divisional title game by edging Lustre Christian, 46-32, in a hard-fought contest at the Eastern C divisional tournament in Sidney on Thursday, March 3.
