Candidates Forum Set For Thursday
Roosevelt County’s commissioner and sheriff candidates will take the spotlight during a candidates forum sponsored by the Northern Plains Independent and Wolf Point Elks Lodge #1764 on Thursday, May 5.
The event will stat at 6 p.m. in the Wolf Point Elks Event Center’s upstairs ballroom.
The Northern Plains Independent will also do a live feed from its Facebook page.
There are five candidates for county sheriff. Incumbent Jason Frederick filed for re-election for the office in January. Other individuals who have filed include William “Willy” Black Dog, David Gonzales, Coretta Greybear and Brent Nygard.
Commissioner candidates are Edward L. Bach, Ken Hentges, Craig Karge and Robert Toavs.
The primary election is scheduled for June 7. The general election is Nov. 8.
