Motorcycle, Pilot Car Involved In Crash

An accident involving a motorcycle and a pilot car occurred near mile marker 617 of U.S. Highway 2 on July 21. Two individuals were reported to have minor injuries from the crash. BNSF Railway reports that a train hit an individual in Roosevelt County on Saturday, Aug. 7. Ben Wilemon, external corporate communications manager, said the incident happened at about 6:05 a.m. when an intermodal freight train struck a trespasser near Poplar. “We are saddened to say that the individual was fatally injured,” Wilemon said. “The incident did not take place at a road crossing.
