Daines, Wool Growers

U.S. Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., welcomed members from the Montana Wool Growers Association to Washington, D.C. last week. The importance of grazing, MSU’s wool lab, priorities for upcoming Farm Bill negotiations, and other issues were discussed. Daines also stressed the importance of supporting Montana ag and returning the management of grizzly bears back to the state of Montana. “The folks from the Montana Wool Growers Association know firsthand, returning the management of grizzly bears to the State of Montana is in the best interest of our communities, public safety, and protecting the livelihoods of Montana ranchers. Montana has proven they can conserve and manage the species and it’s time to return management to the state,” Daines said. (Photo submitted)
