Poplar High School Hosts Prom


Poplar High School hosted their 2022 prom March 19 in Moccasin Square Garden. Students mixed without masks, entering the gym in pairs and small groups. Grand entry started a little after 8 p.m., following a delay resulting from the administration of breathalyzers. Junior class advisor Evan Cummins said that the event was a dose of normalcy after the pandemic impacted access to public events

The Roosevelt County Commissioners placed local taxation of medical and recreational cannabis on the primary ballot.
