Sens. Proposed Safety Project On Rodeo Road
The Montana Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on a proposal to construct safety improvements at the intersection of Rodeo Road and Anaconda Street, east of Wolf Point.
Proposed work includes new signing, flashers and lighting at the intersection. The purpose of the project is to address intersection related crashes.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction

Barn Quilts Used To Teach Geometry
About 27 Wolf Point High School students combined their geometry and art skills to create barn quilts at the end of this school year.
After math teacher Wendy Connelley had her sophomore and junior students learn symmetry skills in geometry class, the students were instructed to create barn quilts.
Students and staff members voted for a people’s choice award. Connelley said the “wow”

Rutledge’s Lawsuit Dismissed With Prejudice
Roosevelt County inmate Richard Rutledge’s lawsuit against Roosevelt County detention officers has been dismissed.
Rutledge and defendants Troy Blount and Debra Collins have stipulated that the action be dismissed with prejudice as to all claims and causes of action.
On April 6, 2022, Rutledge’s motion for discovery was denied as being moot.

The Roosevelt County commissioners hired several individuals during a special meeting on Thursday, June 2. Joseph Reinhart was hired as a civil recording clerk for the sheriff’s office.
Hired for the fair were Mariana Burciaga, Kaylee Kohl and Payton Perkins.
Hired for mosquito control were Randy Pautsch and Heather Boysun-Pautsch.

Gas Prices Increase By 21.8 Cents During Week
Average gasoline prices in Montana have risen 21.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.64/g on Monday, June 6, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 44.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.69/g higher than a year ago. The price of diesel has risen 11.5 cents nationally in the past week and stands at $5.62 per gallon.
