The Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board held its regular meeting June 9.
The board approved the Fort Peck Manufacturing Board of Directors’ request for funding from the finance committee in the amount of $123,000 via the revolving loan fund needed in order to cover specific past expenses and continued operations until all contracts dry up.

Prices in Montana are 1.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 18.4 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. Hunters can now sign up for the Surplus List, which is a list of leftover licenses that were not distributed by the drawing. The list will be randomized, with hunters at the top of the list contacted via email with instructions to finalize their purchase within a specified time.
Over-the-counter Deer B and Elk B licenses are also available for purchase. These licenses can be purchased online at

The Wolf Point School Board decided to accept a bid of $1.495 million for a post-tensioned track by Tarkett Sports on Wednesday, June 4.
The motion, which ended up being unanimously approved, was made by trustee Michael Holen and seconded by trustee Liara Braaten.
After the motion was made, trustee Keith Higgins asked, “Can we afford it?” Holen added, “Yes, that’s the big question.”
