Local families have hosted the dorm students from before school began until dorm parents Mr. and Mrs. Jones Cumpios were able to come from the Philippines. They have their papers and have been able to make the travel arrangements now.
Principal Bob Burkhart welcomed the parents and community to the Aug. 25 opening program of Lustre Christian High School. He introduced this yearâs theme âWalk
Testerâs Visit
U.S. Sen. Jon Tester visits with Quade Boyd, 8, during Poplarâs Indian Days on Sunday, Sept. 1. The senator took part in the grand march. He said there are seven reservations in Montana and itâs vital for the senator to understand what issues are important to Native Americans in the state.

700 Club Conducts Interview In Area
Darryn Ricker Sr.âs story of his recovery from a near-death experience is about to receive national attention.
Ricker and his wife, Laura, were interviewed by The 700 Club of The Christian Broadcasting Network last week. The interview took place in Wolf Point and also in Poplar, where Darryn works out regularly.

Ruff Serves As Frazerâs New Superintendent
Educator Dr. Sarah Ruff has started duties as the new superintendent for the Frazer School District.
Ruff said she was approached to serve in the capacity in Frazer and is excited to work with the community.
âI said âyesâ because itâs important to me that schools have strong leaders to do whatâs needed for the students,â Ruff said.
