Positive reports were delivered by Poplar’s administrators during the November school board meeting held on Monday, Nov. 10. Superintendent of Schools Keith Erickson noted that his goals for the school year are based on: Students first; increasing student achievement; developing and sustaining a staff/ student wellness program; and creating and maintaining a positive academic and work environment.

The eight newest members of the Tribal Executive Board will hold a community feed starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Wolf Point Community Hall. The event will run until about 5 p.m. The community meal is being held in appreciation of the voters’ support of the new board members.

Montana State University will select educators and organizations in five rural Montana communities to host a fully sponsored Geospatial Skills Camp for high school students in June 2026. The camp is being made possible thanks to a $430,000, three-year grant awarded to MSU’s Science Math Resource Center from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research.
