The Board of Trustees of Poplar School District No. 9 and 9B will consider candidates interested in filling for the vacant trustee position at the Special Board meeting September 16, 2024. Montana State University’s Steer-A-Year program will return for the 2024-25 academic year and is seeking donations of young cattle and feed. A program housed in the College of Agriculture’s Department of Animal and Range Sciences, Steer-A-Year combines academic courses with hands-on experience and exposes students to the many aspects of raising cattle. Students spend the year feeding, caring

in oil traffic on the road. During peak traffic time, about 20 trucks an hour use the road. There are at least 100 trucks on the road per day. The work on Road 1071 will feature having a contractor apply a dust suppression product. If the product is successful, the county might have it added to other county roads. Commissioners approved $27,020.77 for new DES radios for the sheriff’s office.
