Froid/Lake Girls Shoot For Strong Season


After qualifying for the Eastern C divisional volleyball tournament last season, Froid/Lake returns all but one starter entering this campaign. Returning starters include senior Mara Salvevold, senior Brooklynn Nordwick, senior Addison Elvsaas, senior Alexa Nelson and sophomore Isabelle Nordwick. Salvevold was a first-team All-Conference selection and Elvsaas was a second-team pick last season.

Wolf Point Cross Country Features Six Runners


Wolf Point’scross country team features six runners this season. Rebel Mays is the only senior in the program. Other boys competing for the Wolves are sophomore Reilly Rees, freshmen Carlo Weiser and freshman Zek Payne. The girls’ team includes Jeina Reum and Lakealah Mays. The Wolves open their season with their home invitational at the Wolf Point Airport Golf Course on Friday,

Rollover Accident

Rollover Accident


Firefighters work on pulling a work truck back up after the vehicle, which was pulling a header trailer, rolled over on Highway 250 near mile marker 3 on Friday, Aug. 16. Fuel sprayed from the tank. There were no injuries. Responding were the Montana Highway Patrol, Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office, Wolf Point Volunteer Fire Department, Wolf Point Ambulance Service and state Disaster and Emergency
