Legion Seeks Additional Members

The Wolf Point American Legion Post is reaching out to potential new members to make the organization stronger in the community. Eric Nelson, one of Wolf Point Post’s leaders, said there are currently 28 on the post’s roster. Many of those members, however, aren’t very active. Nelson said an individual needs to be a member of the military, either past or present, to be eligible to join

Commissioners Approve Gravel Bids

The Roosevelt County Commissioners approved two bids for gravel during a meeting last week. Bishop Inc. of Malta was awarded both of the bids. One of the bids was for 13,500 tons of three-quarter inch minus gravel to be stockpiled at the Colgan Pit, located six miles north of Poplar. Delivery is to be completed by Oct. 15. The Roosevelt County Commissioners met with the compensation board to discuss salaries of elected officials for fiscal year 2024-2025 on Wednesday, June 5. Commissioner Gordon Oelkers explained the compensation board recommends to commissioners what board members wish to do. The Wolf Point Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture keeps working on the Wolf Point Wild Horse Stampede, which is scheduled for July 11-13.
