For the last several years, the Optimist Club of Wolf Point has been conducting Halloweenie. The event will again be offered this Halloween.
Club members feel that Halloween means a sugar high for many youth. The Optimists feel the children should have a meal before they start to trick or treat and collect a bag full of candy.

November’s Montana Library Network Virtual Programming Series’ watch party “Logic and Magic” with Dr. Jon Turk will start at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Roosevelt County Library. The free event will conclude at 8:30 p.m.
Dr. Turk earned a Ph.D. in chemistry in 1971 and was nominated by National Geographic as one of the Top Ten Adventurers of the Year in 2012. Between these

A book character pumpkin decorating contest is being held at the James E. Shanley Tribal Library in Poplar.
The contest is open through Oct. 27. The circulation desk is taking entries. No carving is allowed. Participants are invited to paint, dress and accessorize their gourdes to approximate book characters, but no actual carving will be permitted.
Entries can be submitted by individuals
