• United States President Warren G. Harding dies suddenly in San Francisco on Aug. 2. President Harding was conversing with relatives when he passed away from what was then suspected to be a stroke but is now believed to have been heart failure.

Sabrina Reign Staggenborg was born July 12 at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow to Fara Jackson and Joshua Staggenborg.
She weighed nine pounds 7.7 ounces and was 19 inches long.
She joins her sisters, Honey and Kimmy, and brother, Emerson, at home.
Grandparents are Kim Black Eagle and Emerson Jackson of Nashua and Frazer and Craig and Teresa Staggenborg of Oregon.

Wolf Point resident Caleb Gourneau is frustrated. He is attempting to get a military uniform back to a family or proper authority, but he isn’t having any success.
He explained that a contractor for the Fort Peck Housing Authority came across the uniform when removing items from a house. Gourneau said one of the workers told him, “Look at what they are making me do to our veterans.”

Lela Handran and daughter Pam Hurr flew to Sun City, Ariz., on July 13 to celebrate Lela’s 90th birthday with her twin brother, Leland Leonard and his wife, Janice. Lela also stayed with her sister, Cecile Posey, for a few days, and Cecile’s children Missy of Peoria and Mark of Sun City came over to visit with Lela and Pam while they were there. Lela was also able to visit an old friend, Nellie
