Viola E. Gustafson, 97, of Sidney, formerly of Culbertson, died Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Sidney Health Center, Sidney. She was born on Jan. 12, 1929, in Fallon, the daughter of Adam Paulena (Damm) Sackmann. She grew up and attended schools and was raised in Culbertson community. She was united in marriage to Robert Gustafson of Bainville. After the marriage, they resided in Culbertson, where she held many clerical jobs including working for the City of Culbertson. She moved to Sidney and made her home at the Lodge on Lone Tree Creek. She enjoyed a few social activities and also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and knitting. She is survived by: her

Medicaid Requirements Now In Effect

Department of Public Health and Human Services director Charlie Brereton reminds Montanans that new Medicaid Expansion community engagement requirements took effect on July 1. Most Medicaid Expansion members aged 19-64 who are not excluded must complete and document at least 80 hours of qualifying community engagement activities each month, which will be reviewed at their next redetermination
