Montana Farmers Union is proud to once again offer Sentence Grants for Montana 4-H clubs. Clubs can apply for the $100 mini-grants by submitting one sentence project proposals. If clubs publicly thank MFU for the funding, they receive an additional $50. Homestead, Long-Term Rental Reduced Rate Enrollment Pass Halfway Point

Thousands of Montana property owners have already successfully enrolled to receive property tax relief. To date, the Montana Department of Revenue has enrolled 7,936 homestead and 11,155 long-term rental properties to receive the reduced rates. Qualified Montana homeowners and owners of longterm rental property have until March 1 to enroll their principal residence or longterm rental.

Fierce winds blew all night in Lustre on Thursday, Jan. 15. They continued Friday, and Montana made national news with 400 miles of its territory battling 60-80 mph winds. It was the strongest winds we have had in a long time. We were so thankful for the safety for those traveling, including the teams to Circle for tough games. The Bainville Bulldogs posted a 62-35 home victory over Culbertson in girls’ basketball action on Friday, Jan. 16. The Bulldogs enjoyed a good start by gaining a 15-5 lead in the first quarter.
