Culbertson dropped both non-conference games at Fairview on Saturday, Jan. 3. The Cowboys fell by a 5041 final. Culbertson held a 22-21 half-time lead, but Fairview tied the game, 35-35, in the third quarter. The Warriors outscored Culbertson by a 15-6 margin in the fourth period. The Froid/Lake Red Hawks completed a winning weekend in girls’ basketball by downing Plentywood, 50-42, on Saturday, Jan. 3. After holding an 11-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, the Red Hawks scored 18 points in the second quarter for a 29-15 advantage. Atley Jensen scored 23 points to lead the Red Hawks’ attack. Laytyn Davidson also reached double figures with 10 points.
