Kevin Hentges
Kevin Earl Hentges, 66, of Frazer died Sept. 28, 2026, at his home.
He was born to Ed and Barbara (Wilkinson) Hentges on Oct. 20, 1959. He was born the fifth of nine children, all of whom carried the initial’s KEH. He attended school in Frazer and graduated from Nashua High School in 1978.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was awarded a letter of commendation for the highest score on Soldier’s Stakes in his platoon. His father, Ed, died in 1980 and Kevin was let out of the Army on a hardship request to come home to continue the farm/ranch operation for his mother and younger siblings. He continued the operation for several years also running his own crop dusting business, Hentges Spraying. He took pride in buying his plane, his Super Cub, to learn how to fly from one of the best, Norman Sibley. He and his best friend Doug Long spent many hours together, learning everything there was to know about planes and flying. He then used his plane to spray for many local farmers. He was also a meticulous mechanic who kept many machines in operation at home and for the Fort Peck Tribal Ranch. He lived his later years as a self-employed rancher.
He married Nadine Adams in 1983. Together, they had Kayla and Kelley who joined older sister, Kaci. They later divorced, but remained friends. Later, he met Octavia Ackerman and their children, Zayden and Kassidy, were born. He treasured his children (his cows were a close second) and loved the fact that he had children later
