After a super comefrom- behind victory over Glendive, Wolf Point’s flag football team dropped a close game against Glasgow during action in Wolf Point on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Trailing by a 12-0 margin against Glendive, the Wolves advanced into scoring position on nice runs by quarterback Maci Fourstar and Anna Matejovsky. Wolf Point went on to score on a pass from Fourstar to Harper Weeks with 1:51 left in the opening half. Fourstar raced in for the conversion to close the margin to 12-7.

An interception by Jorilynn Black Eagle ended Glendive’s final threat of the second quarter.

The Wolves put together a scoring drive during the third quarter which resulted in Fourstar firing a cross field pass to Weeks for a touchdown at the 4:50 mark to put Wolf Point up 13-12.

Glendive’s next possession went nowhere as Paisley Bruner and Addy Smith registered sacks. Smith also tipped a pass on the possession.

The Wolves added a touchdown early in the fourth period when Fourstar connected with Matejovsky. Fourstar passed to Smith for the conversion to gain a 21-12 lead.

Wolf Point scored again on a short pass from Fourstar to McKinlee Paulson with 5:22 left. Fourstar also hit Paulson for the conversion for a 29-12 final margin.

Matejovsky intercepted two passes down the stretch to highlight Wolf Point’s defensive effort.

The Wolves then lost to Glasgow by a 12-7 final.

Wolf Point accounted for the lone touchdown of the first half on a run by Matejovsky with 40 seconds remaining in the second quarter. A catch by Ma’Kenzie Jackson put the lead at 7-0.

The Scotties put together a threat in the third quarter, but the drive ended on a sack by Bruner.

Glasgow reached the end zone on a short run with 6:10 left in the third quarter to close the margin to 7-6.

After Wolf Point was stopped on a fourth-andone play, Glasgow went ahead, 12-7, on a running play with 1:20 remaining.

Wolf Point’s final possession ended on an interception by Glasgow.

The divisional tournament is scheduled for Oct. 2 in Glendive.
