Bridger Pipeline Project To Hold Public Meetings
Bridger Pipeline LLC will hold two public meetings regarding the proposed Bridger Pipeline Expansion Project in Montana. The meetings are being conducted as part of Bridger’s Application process under the Montana Major Facility Siting Act.
The facility is a 36-inch diameter steel pipeline transporting heavy crude oil from the U.S./Canada border between Whitewater and Opheim to the Guernsey, Wyo., crude terminal hub.
The first meeting will be held in Glasgow on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cottonwood Inn and Suites. The second meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fallon County Fairgrounds in Baker.
The same project information will be presented at both meetings. Members of the public may attend either meeting. The information presented at the meetings will also be available on the Bridger website after Oct. 9.
Bridger will provide information regarding the need for the proposed project and will receive public input concerning resources that may be affected by the project, possible alternative pipeline locations, alternatives to the proposed project, and measures that could avoid or reduce potential impacts. Bridger also invites comments concerning potential social, socioeconomic, taxation, land use, natural resource, and community effects of the proposed project and alternative routes, including concerns of landowners and residents near any of the routes under consideration.
Maps showing the proposed project and the route alternatives under consideration are available at bridgerexpansion.com and will also be available at the meetings.
The meetings are open to all members of the public. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide written comments.
