Hunter Education Offered

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is offering a field day for students ages 1217 who have completed an online hunter education course. The field day will take place on Friday, Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the FWP Region 6 Headquarters in Glasgow. Students aged 18 and over are not required to attend a field day but are welcome to if space allows. The field course will consist of firearm identifi cation, safe firearm handling (including loading and unloading dummy ammunition), shot selection, shoot-don’t shoot situations, and depending on weather and other factors, shooting positions, bear awareness, taking care of game, blood trailing, and more.
