Hamilton Loves Playing Football For Wolves

Wolf Point High School senior Aaryn Hamilton has a great passion for his favorite sport of football.

He starts at right guard and middle linebacker for the Wolves. He especially enjoys playing the middle linebacker position.

“I love middle linebacker,” he said. “I can fly around and hit people.”

A highlight of this early part of the season was registering a safety on Roundup’s quarterback in the first game of the year. Hamilton explains that the Wolves were in a “50” formation where he lines up in front of the opposing team’s center and then goes after the quarterback.

“It felt great, so amazing,” Hamilton said of the safety.

At right guard, Hamilton likes playing next to fellow senior Donovan Espinoza at right tackle.

“It’s fun,” Hamilton said of being part of the offensive line. “I definitely love these boys.”

He appreciated this season’s homecoming victory and being a member of homecoming royalty.

Hamilton also participates in golf for the Wolves. He might be a manager for boys’ basketball this winter.

The senior admits that he isn’t the best golfer around. “It makes me mad, but I try to have fun,” he said. “I probably get more mad golfing that playing football.”

In the classroom, his favorite subject is work shop with instructor R.C. Page. One of Hamilton’s best projects was a large L shaped table with wood from Wolf Point’s old gym. He wood burned his name on the item.

Hamilton’s favorite teacher is Anthony Red Cloud. “He’s just a real good person. He’s taught me a lot of things,” Hamilton said. After high school, Hamilton plans to join the U.S. Marines along with his close friend Jesse Reed.

“I grew up with him,” Hamilton said of Reed. “I think of him as my brother.”
