Shirley Moran

Shirley Violetta Moran, 92, of Poplar died Aug. 22, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Home in Wolf Point.

She was born Oct. 15, 1933, to Andrew and Alice White in Poplar. Growing up, she attended Poplar School. Later, she made Poplar School her workplace as she started as an aide, then moved to breakfast cook. She worked there from the 1960s to the late 1990s.

She enjoyed taking walks, reading and spending time with her animals, especially her cats. She was a member of the Nazarene church and would take her children faithfully every Sunday.

She was married to Bernard Moran for 63 years until his death in 2013. Listening to her talk about her years of growing up and being with Papa Bernard was the best.

She made her home at the Faith Lutheran Home the last 12 years of her life. Her CNAs made her days great. She loved the hair dresser days. They made her hair look so beautiful and she would take out her red lipstick for her final touch.
