Wolf Point Aims For Strong Football Campaign
Wolf Point’s football team returns a good amount of players as the Wolves eye a playoff berth this fall.
Returning starters for the Wolves include junior lineman Cole Holen, senior lineman/linebacker Aaryn Hamilton, senior lineman Chasan Welch, senior tight end/defensive lineman Zandon Calder, junior wide receiver/safety Kayden Charette, senior wide receiver/cornerback Jayden Dominique and senior running back/defensive end Jesse Reed.
“I feel our team’s strength this year is experience,” Wolf Point Coach Anthony Red Cloud said. “We have a lot of guys with experience in the system and experience of what it takes to compete at the varsity level.”
The squad’s seniors are Tanner Macdonald, Dominique, Reed, Hamilton, Calder, Welch, Donovan Espinoza, Conway Turcotte, Anthony Good Track, Roper Flaten, Lucas Fast Horse, Prestyn Klatt and Michael Martell.
“We are working each day to improve our unity and brotherhood. We are striving this season to come together as a team and play as one,” Red Cloud said.
Pre-season conference favorites include Malta, Fairfield and Glasgow.
“My goal for this season is that our players hold themselves accountable to the standard of play it will take to get Wolf Point football back in the playoffs,” Red Cloud said.
