Culbertson School Board OKs Coaching Offers
The Culbertson School Board met in regular session on Tuesday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m. Trustees present were Chair Chris Petersen, Amber Fox, Chris Newbill, Lisa Steppler and Verlin Steppler.
A letter was received from the school auditor stating no findings in the 2024 audit.
Coaching contracts were o_ered to Dave Solem for head high school track, Mike Olson and Logan Nickolo_ for assistant high school track, Terri Sansaver for junior high/ elementary head track, Jimie Lou Morris for head golf, Eddie Morris for assistant golf and Shawn Larsen for elementary boys’ basketball.
Extra-curricular contracts were o_ered to Chelsie Flinn for 12th-grade advisor, Shelby Manning for 10th-grade advisor, Jimie Lou Morris for ninth-grade advisor, Amy Berwick for eighth-grade advisor, April Wills for seventh-grade advisor, Brad Nielsen for drug and alcohol coordinator, Elizabeth Standley for high school student council advisor, Shelly Panasuk for National Honor Society advisor, Janelle Ator for Business Professionals of America advisor, Nicole Simonsen for Title IX coordinator, Jimie Lou Morris for annual advisor, Jennesy Taberna for band advisor, Russell Pfeifer for choral advisor and Ashlee Anderson for MCT advisor.
A motion was passed to establish a District 12 Music account in student activities.
Stefanie Newbill was hired to teach German for one period per day contingent on enrollment of three or more students.
Classified contracts were o_ered to Ashtyn Ator as paraprofessional and Patrick Kjelshus as custodian, pending background checks.
The curriculum committee met to review health curriculum. Amber Fox made motion to purchase new junior high textbooks, Lisa Steppler seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Mike Olson and Janessa Parenteau were approved as teacher apprenticeship mentors for 2026-2027.
