Frontier Days Set For June 12-13
The 63rd Frontier Days Rodeo is set for Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, at the Culbertson Saddle Club Arena. Rodeo action starts at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday. The parade is scheduled for noon Saturday along Broadway Avenue. Slack is set for 9 a.m. Saturday.
An estimated purse of $20,000 is being offered for featured events, including, bull riding, calf roping, bareback, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, barrel racing, team roping, ladies breakaway, junior barrels, junior breakaway, senior mens breakaway and women’s ranch bronc riding.
A wild calf race for the kids will be held Friday and Saturday night.
The Culbertson Women’s Club is hosting its annual meal on Broadway Avenue starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday and root beer floats will be offered from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the Culbertson Museum. Museum volunteers will also serve breakfast from 7-10 a.m. Sunday.
Street dances will be held Friday night at the Stagecoach Bar and Saturday at the Saddle Club.
