Bainville Senior Profile

Bainville High School senior Hannah Tholborn enjoyed her time involved in various school activities, even if one resulted in her dressing in a mascot outfit.

As a member of the cheer squad as a senior, Tholborn put on the Bulldog outfit during basketball games.

“That was pretty fun,” she said. She added younger children especially liked coming up to her.

One highlight was her performing push-ups and the crowd cheering her own.

Her lists of activities also include National Honor Society, track, volleyball and Business Professionals of America. She is the student council president.

Tholborn earned first-place honors in desktop publishing at the regional level in BPA. She also placed well in extemporaneous speaking.

She liked BPA because she learned how to compete better.

During the school day, she enjoyed being a teacher’s aide for Tanya Wilson for a period a day to help with athletic director duties.

“I didn’t realize how much she does,” Tholborn said. “It’s pretty cool.”

She said her favorite teacher is Lance Berndt “on occasion.” She explains, “I like his sense of humor.”

After high school, her plan is to study generals at Williston State College. She then wants to study nursing and become an anesthesiologist.

“I like to help people,” Tholborn said.
