Track Athletes Place At Baker Meet

Wolf Point’s girls and Lustre Christian’s boys each placed near the top of the standings during the Baker track meet on Tuesday, April 28.

The Lady Wolves tied for fourth place with 46 points. Richey/Lambert topped the standings with 90 points.

Wolf Point’s boys placed 10th with 24 points.

Adalynn Smith earned top honors in the 400 at 1:01.46 seconds and 200 at 27.84 seconds. She placed fourth in the 100 at 13.39 seconds.

Amya Martinez took second place in the discus with a mark of 104-9. The senior placed sixth in the javelin with a best of 92-4.

Wolf Point’s girls’ 1600-meter relay team featuring AnnaLeigh Matejovsky, Smith, Harper Weeks and Navelia Weeks finished fourth with a time of 55.07 seconds.

Matejovsky had a mark of 92-4 for sixth place in the javelin.

In the pole vault, Matejovsky cleared 8-0 for third and Teagan Williams cleared 7-0 for fifth place.

For Wolf Point’s boys, Sean Hamilton took second in the javelin at 145-2, third in the discus at 133-5 and fourth in the shot put at 41-4.

Damari Martinez finished third in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 19.86 seconds.

Lustre’s boys placed second with 66.5 points. Culbertson earned first with 70 points. Lustre’s girls scored 26 points for ninth place.

Prestyn Klatt finished first in the 800 with a time of 2:05.36 and second in the 1600 at 2:45.11. Klatt was sixth in the high jump at 5-6.

Johnslee Pierre captured first in the 400 at 51.21 seconds, first in the high jump by clearing 6-0 and second in the 200 at 11.61.

Jaycee Hilkemann placed second in the 3200 at 10:25.75 and fifth in the 400 at 55.91. Cam Reddig took fourth in the 200 at 25.50 seconds.

Lustre’s 400-meter relay team of Yoseph Lee, Reddig, Chris Traeholt and KJ Brown finished third at 47.08 seconds.

Leading Lustre’s girls was Samantha Neufeld with a time of 2:36.99 for second place in the 800.

Kencia Brown took second in the javelin with a mark of 101-9.

Sidney Klatt finished third in the 1600 at 6:19.8.

Lauryn Holzrichter placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.61 seconds.
