Bolstad Selected To Coach At Mayville State
Culbertson native Jenna Bolstad has been selected to be the new head women’s basketball coach at Mayville State University in North Dakota.
Bolstad has been serving as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Cleveland State University in Ohio.
Her coaching experience includes being the head coach at Miles Community College in Miles City for two years. In 2023-24, the Pioneers had three All-Conference selections.
Bolstad played at Miles for two seasons from 20062008, leading the Pioneers to a 56-8 record. She continued her collegiate career at Black Hills State where the Lady Yellow Jackets reached the NAIA Division II tournament twice, including an Elite Eight appearance in 2009.
Before becoming the head coach at Miles Community College, Bolstad was an assistant coach at Montana Tech from 2019-22. She spent four seasons at Williston State College as an assistant coach after coaching as a graduate assistant at Black Hills State for the 2014-15 season. Bolstad began her coaching career as the head girls basketball coach at Ray High School in Ray, N.D. in 2013.
Mayville State went 1-25 overall last season and 0-22 in the Frontier Conference.

Bolstad holds a Master of Strategic Leadership degree (2017) and a Bachelor of Science in Education degree (2011) from Black Hills State University. She also earned an Associate of Science degree from Miles Community College in 2008.
