Wolves, Indians Honored

Athletes from Wolf Point and Poplar earned selection to the District 2B All-Conference basketball teams this season.

Wolf Point’s junior Zandon Calder was one of the players voted All-Conference. Also on the boys’ team were Harlem’s junior Latham Black Wolf, Plentywood’s senior Landon Flickinger, Malta’s senior Dawson Hammond, Glasgow’s junior Cade Hudyma and Harlem’s senior Cody McCabe.

Poplar’s sophomore Chasen Pribbernow was one of the second team selections. Others were Harlem’s senior Matthew Billmayer, Plentywood’s senior Andy Kaul, Malta’s sophomore Kazner Oxarart, Malta’s sophomore Regan Stuart and Fairview’s junior Elliot Thompson.

All-State picks from District 2B were Harlem’s Black Wolf, Malta’s Hammond, Glasgow’s Hudyma and Harlem’s McCabe. On the girls’ side, Poplar’s eighth-grader Frankie Gourneau was an All-Conference selection.

Also voted All-Conference were Glasgow’s senior Joely Chappell, Malta’s senior Neva Jacobson, Fairview’s senior Macy Tjelde, Malta’s senior Denvyr Tuss and Glasgow’s junior Mayzie Yoakam.

Wolf Point’s sophomore Maci Fourstar-Sibley, Poplar’s senior Braelyn Nordwick and Poplar’s senor Cammie Martell were second team selections.

Also on the second team were Harlem’s senior Kashlyn Speak Thunder, Glasgow’s junior Paityn Brizman and Glasgow’s junior Emma Mandeville.

All-State picks were Malta’s Jacobson, Glasgow’s Chappel, Malta’s Tuss and Glasgow’s Yoakam.
