Lions Earn Divisional Berth At Eastern C In Miles City

Lustre’s boys’ basketball team qualified for the Eastern C divisional tournament by beating North Country, 7138, in the third-place game of the District 3C tournament on Saturday.

The Lions earned a 25-12 lead in the first quarter. Joel Reddig accounted for 12 of Lustre’s points in the quarter. Adding three-point shots were Johnslee Pierre and Prestyn Klatt.

Lustre struck for 18 more points in the second period for a 43-22 margin. J. Reddig nailed two three-pointers in the quarter. Klatt and Pierre each added five points.

J. Reddig finished with 22 points to lead the Lions. Also reaching double figures were Klatt with 12 and Pierre with 10 points.

Rounding out the scoring were Cam Reddig with nine, Chris Traeholt with nine, Hadden Olfert with five and Diek Olfert with four.

The Eastern C divisional tournament started Wednesday, March 4, in Miles City.
