Boysun Competes In Sports For Wolves
Senior Profile
Wolf Point High School senior Sam Boysun has participated in both football and wrestling during his career for the Wolves.
Boysun played football during all four of his high school years. His position was linebacker on defense and halfback on offense.
Highlights of this past football season included having a high amount of tackles in the season-opening game against Colstrip.
Offensively, he scored a touchdown during the victory over Colstrip.
He explains that he prefers playing defense, but he does like running with the ball on the offensive end.
Because of a broken rib, Boysun had the misfortune of missing four games during the season.
Boysun competed in wrestling as a freshman and as a senior.
He said he returned to the sport as a senior in order to finish a season.
Hobbies include hunting and fishing. His goal is to get a good-sized whitetail this year. He usually goes hunting with his father and brother for quality family time.
His favorite class is welding because he gets to spend time with friends in the shop. His projects have included targets for shooting.
He has attended school in Wolf Point since kindergarten.
“You can have a lot of fun with friends in class,” Boysun said of what he likes about Wolf Point.
After high school, Boysun plans to attend Montana Tech to earn a pre-apprenticeship lineman certificate.
“It’s kind of a shorter program and less costly,” Boysun said. “It’s a big demand field.”
