Indian Land Sale Problem On Reservation

A close check on all petitions for sale and applications for patents in fee in the desirability of retaining lands in Indian ownership by the tribal business committee, was suggester by D. S. Mayer, commissioner of Indian affairs in a letter to James Archdale and Joshua Wetsit of the Fort Peck Tribes.
