Gas Prices Fall 1.6 Cents
Average gasoline prices in Montana have fallen 1.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.71/g on Monday, Jan. 26, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 615 stations in Montana. Prices in Montana are 8.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 20.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 7.8 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $3.543 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Montana was priced at $2.48/g on Sunday, Jan. 25, while the most expensive was $2.99/g, a difference of 51.0 cents per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has risen 7.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.84/g on Monday. The national average is up 3.6 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 23.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago, according to Gas-Buddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
