Local Wrestlers Place In Miles City

Wrestlers from Wolf Point and Poplar competed well during the Cowboy/Cowgirl Invitational held in Miles City.

In the girls’ team standings, Poplar placed 11th with 70 points. Wolf Point was 25th with 24 points.

Wolf Point’s Cali Gorder earned second place at 100 pounds. She was pinned in the title match by a wrestler from Billings Central.

Poplar’s Laityn Allen placed second at 110 pounds. Allen won one match by one pin and two by decisions at the tournament.

Alara Cooper earned third at 115 pounds. Cooper pinned three opponents during the tournament.

Liberty Boadle took seventh at 120 pounds. She scored four pins in Miles City.

In the boys’ tournament, Wolf Point took 22nd place with 24 points. Poplar was 29th with 7.5 points.

Wolf Point’s Jesse Reed placed sixth at 150 pounds. Reed won two matches on pins at the tournament.
