January 11, 1951
About 130 relatives and friends gathered at the Froid City Hall at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at a dinner which honored Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nelson on their 25th wedding anniversary: The hall was appropriately decorated with white streamers and silver bells, and the head table was beautiful with bouquets of white pom-poms and silver bells, pink and silver candles, with a four-tier wedding cake in the center. Seated at this table were the guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nelson, their son Carl, their daughters, Lorraine Ostby and Jean Gangstad and their families, Mr. Burton Ostby. Larry and Glenn, Mr. Hardin Gangstad and Jerry. Mrs. Nelson was attired in a dark green dress and black hat, and wore a beautiful corsage of carnations and roses which was given her by her four grandchildren. The other tables were decorated with white candles in silver candelabra, pink and white flowers, and were properly set for about ninety guests. Mrs. Jim Ostby was in charge of the guest book.
