Lustre Drops League Contest

After a close first half, Lustre’s girls’ basketball team lost to North Country by a 63-32 final on Friday, Jan. 2.

The game was deadlocked at 10-10 after the first quarter. The Mavericks held only a 26-23 half-time advantage.

North Country then tallied 23 points in the third period for a 49-27 lead.

Top scorers for the Lions were Lauryn Holzrichter with 10 and Lauren Fast with eight points.

Also scoring were Kencia Brown with five, Samantha Neufeld with two and Harlo Reddig with two.

Leading North Country were BaiLee McColly with 19, Gracie Wasson with 15 and Emerson Downing with 10 points.
