The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to 93 cases during Oct. 27 to Nov. 3.
The calls included the following: Oct. 27
Deputies assisted the Fort Peck Tribes Department of Law and Justice after the report of a missing man. The male was found deceased on the north side of the bridge in Poplar. Officials checked for any wounds, and there was nothing suspicious.

The Wolf Point Fire Department’s Volunteer Ball Association invites the public to a chili cook off at the Elks Club’s Event Center on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Supper is scheduled for 7 p.m., and cook-off results will be announced at 9 p.m. There is a door entry cost of $20.
The night will also include a silent auction, a 52 card raffle and live music from Northern Lightning.

The youth of our community have been kept occupied with school, Awana and the sports activities. Wednesday was Character Day at Awana and students dressed up as a Bible character.

A recount was conducted on Thursday, Oct. 30, regarding the Oct. 25 Fort Peck Tribal General Election.
In the recount, Vernice Chopper still won the 12th TEB position with 478 votes. Incumbent Lawrence Hamilton received 463 votes. The original vote count was Chopper 477, Hamilton 460.
